The AQQA Aquarium Sponge Filter features a 9-layer ribbing shape sponge design, combining bio-filtration, oxygenation, and physical filtration in one unit. The sponge can be easily removed from the filter for cleaning or replacement. An extra pair of sponges is provided, and it is recommended to soak the sponge completely before replacing it.
